Greetings All:

Tom asked about anchors.

On water wings we have a 13 lb Danforth Hi-tensile with 20 feet of !/4
inch chain and 150 feet of 3/8 inch nylon rode. This anchor hangs from
the pulpit.

Our second anchor is an 11 lb Danforth copy with 10 feet of 1/4 inch
chail and 100 feet of 3/8 inch nylon rode. This anchor rides in a bag in
the v-berth storage compartment.

Last summer we used both anchors at various times. The copy was
used for anchoring off the stern when tied to shore, the danforth was
used in the usual way when anchoring off shore and we once used both
when we didn/t want the boat to move towards some nearby rocks.

In addition to the anchors we carry three 15 foot, three 25 foot and one
100 foot dockline. The 100 footer is for tieing off to shore. I will probably
add a 50 foot line this year as there were numerous occasions when 100
feet was too much and 25 feet was not enough.

Looking out at Lake Superior we see some open water way off past the
Welcome Islands. I expect that we will be sailing again by the first
weekend in May.
