Judy, et al

When I ordered my Potter, Val, the nice British saleslady at IM suggested
that I should get the mast raising system. I did, used it once, and decided
it was too involved and slowed down the rigging process considerably. I
raise my mast by hand and have absolutely no problems doing so.

Anyway, I took the Harken (think its a 365) camcleat off the cabin top that
came with the mast raising system and bought a second identical camcleat
minus the wire fairlead. I have mounted these on the aft outboard corners
of the cabin top at 45 degrees off center. That means they do not face fore
and aft but halfway between fore and aft and dead athwartships. My lapper
tracks are two feet long and are outboard of the grab rail about halfway
between the leading and trailing edges of the cabin. The camcleats are
positioned thusly so I can run either jib sheet to that point.

One of these days, friend, I'll dust off the ol' camera and shoot the whole
enchilada.
