When I called Cabela's to get the sale price on a 5hp, 2-stroke, 20"
motor, the one Rye Gewalt got a good deal on, two reps told me that
motor had never been on sale. After I described Rye's experience (See
Digest Vol.99 #41), they informed me the next day that the motor he
bought, although the exact specifications as the one I wanted, was a
different stock number and was discontinued. Certainly they will only
do what they will do, but their attitude didn't impress me and they lost
a customer for this item or anything else. Caveat potential emptor!
