When I installed the CDI furler last year I just removed the forestay and
installed the furler in its place. However I had to remove the Jib Halyard
pulley and eye strap since they prevented the furler top fitting from turning
freely. I just left the rivets holes as they were. By the way I plan to put
pictures of my setup on my web page shortly.
