I went sailing - took 5 days and went to San Diego. The only down side was
that I didn't sail all those days!

Normally while I'm gone I'm able to check my email remotely from San Diego.
Not so this time. My home ISP crashed due to a hacker infiltration. The
result is that some email may have been lost. If anyone sent me email and
didn't get a response it may be because it got lost. Please try again.

Another topic. There has been a long standing request that list members not
use HTML on items they send to the list. Two reasons.

Some folks may still be using browsers which don't recognize HTML HTML
really looks strange on a text-only browser.

HTML makes the items larger. As an example, I received one item partially
in HTML and it was 6.62KB. In text (non-HTML) form it was only 2.59KB. The
larger size takes unnecessary storage at both the mail service provider's
and the receiving individual's sites. It also takes longer to download, and
there are list members who pay by the minute for downloading time.

These problems also happen with attached or included files such as images.
They can be very large, and may not be of immediate interest to everyone.
There are now several web-sites to which one may post images. Please check
with the webmaster for posting privileges, then notify the rest of us that
the files have been posted
