I would like to replace the original outboard motor bracket on SAYOKO
with an adjustable type. I use an old Evinude 6 with a short shaft. One
of the modifications I made to make it usefull was to turn the original
bracket over, so it angled downward instead of upward, which has served me
for several years, but it really makes starting it a challange and the old
bracket is showing signs of wear.

I'm interested in what you folks are using, the pros and cons, as well as
any advise you have about mounting and using it, especially with a short
shaft outboard. If and when this old 6 gives in, I plan to replace it
with a (extra) long shaft 4 stroke, so would like to set things up now for
the future. Are any models that flexible? I don't think I would want to
remount the bracket when I make the change. All advise appreciated.
