A while back there was some discussion about finding a combination Gas
Can and Fuel Pump.

The new Cabellas catalog has a five gallon plastic can with pump for $25
that looks like it might be useful.

I dislike the smell of gasoline (particularly below deck) and wonder if
the little cap that seals the end of the pump is effective enough to
keep small amounts from leaking out after pumping. My nose is so
sensitive to the smell that I even wash off the outside of my gas can
after each use before putting it below (or store it in the cockpit).

Otherwise the gadget looks pretty nice. I have scanned a copy of the
ad. It can be viewed by clicking on the link below:

I hope this is helpful.

In a more jugular vein: The red gas cans made by Blitz with the little
yellow snap cover for air "bleed" have a tendency to seep gas out of the
yellow cap --- even when the can is upright and the gas is just sloshing
around in the back of the car (and even on a cool day before the gas
has not had a chance to vaporize and build up pressure in the can).
Junk! ... and the can says that it meets ASTM and UL standards!
They're cute little red plastic bombs.... Do I seem to be getting
cranky as I get older?

The Rubbermaid cans have screw caps with gaskets and work fine -- like
all of the Rubbermaid products they are well engineered.
