I recommend that everyone who sails Potters read "Turning Turtle -
first-hand accounts of capsizes in West Wight Potters" on the Potter
Yachters web page <http://songbird.com/py/story/Turtles.htm>.
For what it's worth, I have sailed my P14 for 29 years and haven't capsized
yet. I've never sailed a P19, but from all reports, it is essentially a
keel boat when the keel is down and locked, but it can be turtled if the
keel is raised.
