Hello fellow sailors,

With short notice my 1999 sailing will launch from a mooring instead of the
trailer. Yahoo! I am a new member of the Winthrop Yacht Club. Located in
Winthrop Ma. It's the 2nd oldest yacht club in the U.S. Winthrop Harbor
snakes behind, just north east of, Boston's Logan Airport. Therefore, I need
to select and purchase the most appropriate bottom paint and then apply it.

I purchased my 1996 WWPotter 19' last Oct. and I was only able to sail her
once for a test sail. The previous owner told me the boat was moored one
season only (the summer of 1996) and was trailored in 1997 and it didn't get
into the water in 1998, but suggested I paint the bottom if I planned to moor
it.

Question?:

1) What type, brand and exact color (light blue) bottom paint come with our
boats?

2) Please share your thoughts, experiences and suggestions on;

Paint

Preparation (sanding etc.)

And applying the paint.

Also, while we are on exterior preparation, suggestions on seasonal gel-coat
treatments/preparations/wax?

Thank you in advance for your advice.

Happy Sailing
