In searching the web for ideas for a Potter-like (cheap) solution to jib
furling without going forward, I found the following...

If anyone has any other ideas, I'd love to hear/see them. Thanks

I believe I saw it in the defender discount marine supplies catalog...

In Defender catalog there is a jub furler that can be used with a Lapper sail
for about 90 bucks including top fitting and bottom drum. It requires a
regular rope or cable luff sail. It replaces the forestay with the jib
rope/wire luff sail and furler equipment. This is an all or nothing type
furler. Which in essence is how all of us use the more expensive CDI unit
anyway.

Remember the P19 lapper is 60 sq ft and the genoa is less than 100 sq ft...
