Sorry, I overlooked one important point. The "flashlight or lantern"
applies only to sailboats or rowboats under 23 ft. long. If you are
motoring, you're required to show the same lights as a motor boat.
These are: sidelights and a white all-around light visible 2 miles, or a
white masthead light and stern light. The sidelights may be separate or
a combination unit.
