Hi Stephan:

I remember my first outing with my new P-19. We had a wonderful
launch ceremony with champagne and friends. I then tried to start the
new outboard motor. I said to Linda, my wife, that I know outboard
motors so did not need to read the instructions. I then proceeded to pull
the starter cord with little success. Linda would then offer helpful
suggestions such as "did you open the fuel tank vent? did you put the kill
switch tab in place?" After half an hour my friends left to go look at other
boats and take some of the pressure off of me. After 45 minutes I got the
motor started and with some relief we motored out into the harbour. Our
first log entry is quite humourous with my wifes notes about my
screw-ups.

I hope that your next launch attempt goes better. I typically have to
submerge my trailer wheels and then the boat floats free. I submerge the
wheels for both launching and retreiving.

Take Care
