I would guess it was a mistake. Soneone GOOFED BIG TIME!
The serial number is required by the USCG and I can't
imagine the manufacturer did it on purpose. Don't know
what to do about it accept sail your Potter. I am curious,
do both of your mainsails have #769 on them?
