hi! i have my 15 at a slip. first time i rigged it i left the boom up
after a sail. two days later i came back for another and the swivel block
on the aft end of the boom was missing. i had the boom tied to the stbd
rail so MAYBE the pin let go banging around in the wind and the block went
into the drink BUT i think considering the price of blocks it might have
been stolen. considering how little time it takes me to stow the rudder
and boom below i do that. the only thing out is the vang line and little
straight block which is not pinned onto the mast and the mast itself. it
only takes a couple of extra minutes. c'mon...if you were in a hurry you
wouldn't be sailing, right? most stuff seems to walk away if it isn't
nailed down. i've got the motor locked on with a BIG cable and lock.
