To Both-Check your yard is your boat there?
Your stern no. should be something like this example: HMSB0769c794.
If not your reading it wrong. Call IM factory or look at your title.
Ted - Milwaukee WWPotter19 Hull#0940 "Sea Breeze" and don't tell me your hull is

Hi Gang

I recently posted an inquiry about a boat that I recently purchased and
stated that I had a 1994 Potter 19 #769.  I got an e-mail from another owner
stating that I must have read my number wrong because HE had hull #769.
After several e-mails back and forth, it was discovered that our boats have
identical serial numbers on the hull. Has anyone seen this before?  Can
anyone explain how this could happen? We both assumed that the numbers were
unique to each hull.  Are we wrong?
