Regarding hull numbers per your attached note, I've never heard of it
happening but that doesn't mean it can't happen. The numbers, at least on
my P15, are put taped into the mold before the gelcoat is sprayed. My
looks like some form of Dymo Label Maker tape. The point is, if they forget
to change the tape it's possible to have two boats with the same number.

The whole thing seems unlikely. I would make sure that you and your "hull
twin" #769 really check the HULL and not the sails or paperwork. Not sure
how to straighten this out if you both have the same number because they're
supposed to be unique.
