Hi All,
This matter is unbeliviable unless varified by IM itself. That both hulls are
embossed with the same number and IM's records show, having sold two (2) boats of
the same length, same color to two different parties and addresses. If so, it is up
to IM to correct this matter by certification to the later boat off production.
Contacting the State's Registration Office Annoucing the rectifing number of title
change including owners name, sending a factory repair team to the boats location
and perform a notary number change to the transom number, including a new mainsail
with the correct new number and retrieving the incorrect sail from the owner.

My recommendation for the twin hull numbers is, like the others, make sure IM
knows and does something about it.  As for changing the numbers yourself, don't
be hasty.  It is unlawful to change or remove the HIN on any boat under penalty
of law.  Once the matter has been identified to your state registry office, make
certain that you have something in writing from IM to the government office to
back up your claims of an incorrect HIN.

I suggest you find out from IM which one was newer, then renumber it
"769-1/2." (or 769.5). Of course that is based on the presumption that
there are only two #769s.
