First thing I did when I started sailing my new P19 last summer was
make a check list...what to do going out, and what to do coming in.
Then I laminated it and put it in the cockpit storage cabinet at the
stern of the boat. Problem is, I always forgot to use it. Yet, the
first ten times I took it out, I should have. Then maybe I would have
loosened up the mast topping lift sooner than later.

Meanwhile, my P19 sits at a fiberglass repair business because my son
rammed it with a PWC. Never thought to put that on my checklist.
