Hey all;
As promised, here is a list and description of the coach roof traveler we
used on the p-19 'Thales'. 1- 60" Harken track 155 1 End 256 1 end 257
1 traveler car 159 1 fiddle block w/ beckett and cam cleat Schaefer
705-75 a rope thimble 5/16 8' boom 2"x3" mast section( we were replacing
the boom anyway because the old one was bent) .The track mounts are custom
made and through-bolted. Line as required for the controls. Hatch closure
will have to be modified to effect a seal. (Still working on that, let you
know what we come up with). Pictures are available, I don't want to upload
them to the list, e-mail me and I shall forward them to you. The single
block and the end of the mainsheet attach to a sliding piece made of 3/8
s/s rod 9"long welded to a 1/8 plate to slide in the boltrope slot of the
boom (mast section). This was done to keep as much room between the pulleys
as possible. This is rather exotic but it works well. You could use some
other form of attachment.
