hi folks!

had to go to the dentist this morning (ugh) done by 11 decided to bike the
rest of the way out to the lake to the BOAT to reward myself for having
survived the dental work. sunny, a few clouds and even a funny little
piece of a rainbow way up high no clouds....? sailed for 6 hours not much
wind but still just wonderful. and i had lots of time to eat lunch first
and stare at the boat in its slip and diddle around with it before
launching. Has anyone else realized how much of the joy in all this is
simply dreaming about it?

i had an idea about easy renewable ballast for solo sailing the 15: just
keep maybe a half a dozen empty plastic gallon jugs around (easy to find
lying around) and just fill them with water from the lake and stow them
full up front when sailing solo...whaddaya think? better than lead since
when you're done you just dump them out and the jugs are easy to stow,
either in the cabin afterward or if you're going out with others you can
just leave them in your car if you're trailering or on the dock if you're
in a moorage.

My boat was so clean when i bought it ( only 4 weeks and about 12 voyages
ago). it's not bad now but i notice i'm putting my mark on it in many ways
mostly wonderful!

Thanks to you all in the group for the support and info!
