Potters !!!!!
I believe I have the perfect solution for this ongoing ballast
controversy...

I have designed a small but very powerful ducted fan propulsion unit... It
weighs just about the proper amount to serve as ballast slightly forward,,,
then ,,,, when some other " faster boat" or Gosh forbid, another Potter who
thinks he owns a race boat approaches,,,,we secretly hit the discretly
positioned switch, which activates the small bomb bay type door in the
hull,,,, the unit slides silently into the water and activates.
It uses common household chemicals, that give a burst of power adequate to
intimidate even the staunchest of sailor racers.....
You Potter surges ahead,,, you smile serenly, sip your margarita or Shiner
Bock, and lounge seductively as your craft plunges along, victorious.

Patent Pending,,,,,,,,,, Mac

Your suggestion has rekindled my idea of sticking my 50 lb thrust Minn Kota
(40 lbs) to bottom of keel and firing it up whenever anyone tries to pass
me... It would add about 4K to speed and be silent enough no one would
suspect...

Y'all think this would work?
