The Nirco vent should just pull straight out. I understand that there is
an optional anti-theft piece that attaches from below - check that out if
yours won't come out easily.

The recommended location for an in-hull transducer is on the centerline
and forward of the keel. I had to mount mine about a foot off-center, but
it works fine there. I used MarineTex 2-part epoxy - be careful not to
get air bubbles trapped in the epoxy.
