All this talk of lead, containers of water, and sand as ballast has me
scratching my head. Why do you want *more* weight forward? After I've
loaded the beach chairs, umbrellas (beach and cockpit shade), cooler(s),
galley box, magma grill, second set of ground tackle, third anchor, filled
the sink's water bag and the porti-potty water tank, I have lots of weight
forward. Nicely packed-in, I might add.

Then consider the 14lb Danforth hanging off the pulput and the 20' of chain
in the locker, and I think I have a good start towards offsetting the
crew and motor weight aft.
