My 1994 Potter 19 (#784) WITH, I might add, one of Jerry's excellent backstay kits installed, has
only a single block on the boom. The mainsheet is tied to the end of the boom, goes through a block
on the port side, up through the boom block, down to the starboard block, then to the cam cleat on
the transom. Is this wrong? This is exactly what that third grader who wrote the manual drew. To
change it, I would have to change the single block on the boom to a double and add the becket on the
port gunwhale. IM did not design my particular boat to be rigged this way. I guess I don't see
what's really wrong with this... When I tack, I'm always readjusting the mainsheet anyway.
