Ted:

It sounds to me like Lin has put a lot of thought and craftsmanship into
building a great P19 to his own requirements. He probably won't want to
sell it, but he shouldn't have much difficulty if he does. He probably
could have special ordered an empty P19 from IM to save some bucks and
labor, but he apparently enjoyed the project and probably had good reasons
for doing it the way he did - like buying a boat when it was available
instead of waiting months for a specially built one.

One of the things I like about my first-generation P14 is that it has no
liner. That makes it a lot easier to modify and provides a little more head
and foot room in the cabin. I've long since stopped worrying about resale
value. I paid $1250 for it in 1970. My decor is "tugboat, not "yacht." (Did
the HMS18 have a liner?)

Lin has told us all about his project because he is under the impression
that we are a friendly group, so let's live up to our reputation.

I'm looking forward to seeing photos of the completed interior.
