Stephan,

Old cars needed the Front Wheel Bearings repacked on occasion,
wevery x,000 miles. Most cars are front wheel drive now, and
the rear ones I think are sealed. Hummm, maybe I had better
check on that?

Repacking is messy, not hard, and not expensive. It is just
jacking it up, removing the wheel and hub as a unit, clean out
the old grease, repack the bearings and reinstall. VERY
messy. Go to the library and get a Chiltons auto book and
look up repacking wheel bearings, or talk a buddy into showing
you how to do it. The most important thing is to get the
bearing clean (in a solvent) and then get them repacked
thoroughly. Not rocket science, but takes a little knowledge.

Doesn't need to be done real often if you use Bearing Buddies
and keep them greased. It's a good idea to do it to a used
trailer because you don't know what's in there and IF they go
dry, the bearing fails and the wheel probably departs and the
boat departs and most wives are NOT very sympathetic when YOU
didn't think to avoid that mess!!!!

Bet this has everyone pulling wheel bearings this week!!!!
