I haven't been able to figure this one out. In the
cockpit, mounted halfway up the seat back near the
corner with the transom on the port side, is a mystery
plug. It is round, and has maybe 4 holes that would
accept a male connector. In the West Marine catalog
there is a picture of tiller self-steering gear that
plugs into a similar spot, but I can't tell for sure.
Besides, there appears to be no place on that side
where such gear would have been mounted. Are there
tiller self-steering rigs that work like a tiller
tamer with a rope instead of mounted with a mechanical
arm? Maybe the plug is for a remote VHF speaker? Any
ideas would be helpful! Thanks!
