On the P19, it also stows well with the tiller vertical, lashed to the
shrouds (if you use a Tiller Tamer, the lines are already attached),
and the blade of the rudder on the sidedeck extending sternward. If
you also have the genoa winches (an otherwise unnecessary item), they
keep the blade in place.

All in all, however, I find it easier to leave the messy thing in the
water, lashing the tiller to the backstay if you need an unobstructed
cockpit.
