In the process of looking for a Genoa for my '19 I got the current
Bacon sail catalog sheet and they have a nice poleless spinnaker on the
list that might be of interest to one of the folks on the list. I only
point this out because small cruising spinnakers are generally hard to
find on the used market and I find mine to be an entertaining and
occasionally very useful sail.
Here's the description from their sheet;
Luff 17'8" Foot 13'8"
Radial Head Poleless Spinnaker, 3/4 oz rip-stop nylon, by Concord
Point, medium blue, light blue and red stripes. With sheets, green
bag.
Very Good+
Catalog #73-ROD-103 Price $130
That sounds like a pretty good price and their rating are always very
conservative so I would expect to see a sail that is darn close to
new.. Bacon can be reached at 410 263-4880. I did a review of Bacon
that is posted at http://songbird.com/potter_yachter/bacon-sails.html
. ...... and no, I am not employed by Bacon -- I just think they are a
neat place with nice people.
