The other day I was on the Delaware with a nice wind 8-10 mph
The tide was still coming in and I was tacking against the tide
but making absolutely no headway at all.
Along comes this Cal 22 { I think } or a Hunter
It had a much softer chine than my potter 19
and was heeling and pointing and making headway
with no problems at all against the tide which can be
pretty strong on the river
I had my lapper and main full with about a 10-15 degree heel
whats up ?? Is it the configeration of my hull or technique ?
or a combination of or something else
Im basically a day sailer not a racer but this was a bit humiliating
feed back
would be appreciated
