In which direction is the mast bent? To the side or fore/aft? If it is bent to
either side, you might try a gentle approach. I had a bent mast on a Cape Dory
Typhoon (bent to starboard) and I placed hump up or two saw horses and hung
weight in the middle and allowed it to come back to its correct shape over a
period of a few weeks. It worked perfect.
