Two cents worth:

When I had a Tohatsu 3.5 it would hardly start at Tahoe. I re-jetted
it and it ran like a champ. Switched to the Honda 2 and it runs fine
stock, without any modifications. The Honda dealer here told me the
same thing, that at 6200 ft, rejetting was not necessary.

If you can avoid rejetting, do so. If you put a high altitude jet on
a motor and then trailer it to a lower altitude and run it, it will
destroy the motor very quickly. Puts holes in the pistons. That's
not good.
