Some of you potential ocean sailors may be interested in the story at

Swedish sailors were rescued 300 miles off Australia after they were
dismasted (losing their antenna), and their catamaran was taking on water.
What's new is that they sent their Mayday using a Magellan handheld
satellite communicator.
Personal interest disclosure: I have a few shares of Orbital Sciences
stock, which is why I happened to run across this press release, but I
thought some of you might find it interesting.
