I was kayaking once in the Chesapeake and saw a sub steam by,
conning tower up, off my bow by about 200 yards. I "gave chase"
and had the great experience of riding that big sub's mighty bow
wave. Best bow wave I ever rode. As Lars said, long and tall
wave with similar trough. Lots of fun!
