I recently read an article in Good Old Boat about mold and mildew. Its hard
to believe but the author stated that spraying/wiping with antifreeze not
only killed the spores but set up a barrier. I have tried it on the
interior of my boat with a spray bottle. Its the glycol ethenol that does
the trick. Seems along time ago when it was first invented it was used in
tobacco products to keep mold out. Don't know if it would hurt dacron,
maybe one of you science guys could enlighten the rest of us.
