"Sierra" is a brand of antifreeze that started using propelene G and was
advertized as safe for pets and better for the environment. It costs about
$2 more than regular AF. Dont know if glycol propenol would "do the trick"
but probably not being more "friendly"--Its the nastyness of ethelene
glycol and its toxicity that is why it would work on mold in the first
place--eliminate the nastiness and you may eliminate the desired effect too
(The whole project is a double edged sword).
