Hello,

When I'm trailering, I use the bolts but put a couple of shims in the
rear of the trunk to keep everything tight. There's a good inch or so
of space lengthwise in the trunk; the shims push the keep forward and
reduces the rocking somewhat.

We also ran into a rock with the keel when we were sailing in New York
Harbor. All four of the bolts that hold the keel to the trunk (what do
you call those things?) snapped off; I tied the keel down with some rope
and everything was fine. I didn't notice any damage to the boat other
than the bolts.

Thanks,
