I don't think so. I have #1632 and it was still the "flange to flange" type
pop riveted together in 1987. The rub rail is a large "U" section that slips
over the joint. On mine, the moulding itself is in reasonable shape but I've
had to re-glue it on in several places where it has been abused by docks.
