My new 19 is now sitting in my driveway! We picked it up yesterday, stayed
the night with friends and came back today. Only mishap was I got stuck on a
dead end street and had to un-hitch and move the boat around manually and
re-hitch. But it was a good thing because my First Mate (Erin) noticed that
the nut on the hitch ball was almost all the way unscrewed. We almost has
real problem had it come undone all the way on the freeway.

Now for the questions. We spent several hours this afternoon trying to rig
the boat in the parking lot. I didn't get directions for the CDI that the
instructions said were mandatory before using it. Please help... I want to
sail tomorrow.

We were able to run the lapper up the gray CDI "thingie" but the halyard
runs up the top channel and the jib runs up the bottom channel. Seems odd
to me as it causes the halyard to twist at the top. Is this correct? Also,
there are two places to attach to forstay on the bow. Which hole do I
attach it to? Can I just sail tomorrow without worring about using the CDI.
Can I just hoist the jib up it and go? I can wait for how to use it later
as long as I know it's safely hoisted.

Shrouds seem rather loose, how tight should they be? I can tune a banjo, a
guitar and a violin, but I've never tuned a boat!

Now. I have never ever run a motor before, except a bad experience with a
weed wacker. So, I know I put gas and oil in it. Do I fill the tank and
then put 2.5 ounces of oil in? It says to run the motor at 25:1 for the
first 10 hours and then 50:1 after that. Should I put 87, 89 or 91 octane
in it?

Erin wants to know if there should be a "grate" on the top of the stove.

We're going out tomorrow at Port San Luis. My sailing instructor is meeting
us for a shake down.

Oh, I almost forgot. I met a guy named Allen on the parking lot. He just
moved to my are and has a P15. Pretty great huh!

I know I'll have a million more questions tomorrow. For now I need a shower
and a rest.

Thanks in advance for all the help. You guys are great/gals are great!
