Get One! I have , I think, an Auto helm 800 I got last year. It's not fancy
but what wonderful new dimensions it has added to enjoying my boat. Of
course all the disclaimers about keeping a proper watch apply ( never go
below and:: use the potty, eat seven course meals, check you E-Mail, indulge
in morning,afternoon,or evening delight with your spouse, or become
engrossed in repair-upgrade projects when "Auti" is steering the boat ).
Also, to all the folks all along the east coast , I hope you all came
through O.K.. Being in the upstate of South Carolina we just had some brisk
winds, but having been there several times I know the disruptions of life
that occur. I had to chuckle at Lars Mulford's post about every critter in
the vicinity moving in with him. Hurricanes seem to break down the barriers
between species. It's a shame people can't seem to do it on a regular basis.
