The outboard on a P. 19 should not weigh more than 60 pounds. Sure you can
use a bigger motor, but she will sail like crap. It's also silly to buy a two
stroke motor, because the EPA is trying to ban them. The 5 HP honda or Nissan
is the way to go, however the Nissan is a little lighter, less expensive, and
Quieter (it exhausts through the prop). On the other hand, a Seagull made me
a better sailor. The damn thing wouldn't start half the time! Jerry
