<< What I can't quite figure out is how I
could move the mast back from the bow pulpit to the step by myself. The
mast binds in the mast crutch if I push it. Any ideas? >>

It's kind of a pain but I lift the whole mast at the balance point (about
where the companion hatch is for my mast) and walk it back. Sometimes I have
to do some hops. Once it is past the crutch mine is 'stern heavy' so I have
to hold the front down while I work my way to the step to pin it down. I have
an older P-19 (HMS-18) with the heavier mast so it should be easier with the
new masts.
