Hi,

Been lurking here for a while, thought I could comment on this,

On a long trip over the summer I lost one of the bolts which holds the
carpeted bunks to the trailer (thats what I assume you mean by carpet rail).
My trailer (97' P19 , Garges Trailer) doesn't have a middle support for the
bunks, just on the ends. Fortunatly, the boat just settled down on a roller
in the center and it didn't hurt the hull.

The bolts on the supports were not the self-locking type, just a lockwasher.
All other bolts on the trailer were self-locking type. Needless to say, I
replaced the non-locking ones.
