On the oxidized hull Bill, try cleaning with various abrasives starting
with the lightest (rubbing compound) to the most abrasive (wet/dry
paper) to find the one that works best.
Than apply a few thin coats of Penetrol! should last a season or more!!
My 27 year old boat looks fine!
