the cockpit seats, lee boards to clear space below and improve hull
integrity, and a stayless rig -- lateen or chinese lug which simplifies
design and moves the mast intrusion forward in the cabin. If all the
floatation were part of the hull laminate stiffness would be availale without
extra weight. Happy planning."
With modern laminates and little carbon fiber I am sure the deck could be
reinforced to step a stayless rig entirely on the deck -- with leeboards, no
cabin intrusion. If leeboards are unacceptable, there is a proposed hinged
keel entirely under the hull

for their simplicity and ability to move for and aft to balance the boat. The
6 1/2 foot cockpit seats are not just for space but to permit sleeping under
a boom tent. Add an inside composting toilet - legal here, and perhaps in
Canada and does not need a pumpout. A full microcruiser!
