Looking to buy my first sailboat and am working through that eternal
calculus: open daysailer or a boat with a small cabin. The daysailor
would offer more cockpit room, but less versatility... I am intrigued
by the Potter 15 (for all of the reasons oft cited on this forum), but
have not inspected one in person.

My preference is toward the Potter, but I am concerned that it may
prove too small or soon be outgrown. What is the length of the
cockpit? Is there room for a family of four (myself, my wife, and two
boys (ages 2 and 4)? The Potter 19 is an option, but its larger size
additional weight, and extra cost are more than this first timer is
interested in (unless I can be convinced otherwise)

Any thoughts or insight would be appreciated.
