Larry Brown had his fixed keel potter custom made. As far as I know it was
the only one ever built by HMS Marine. I think the centerboard is one of the
best features of a Potter. They are easy to trailer, Launch, and beach. there
is a fellow who bought a modified Potter 15 with a fixed keel. He keeps it in
the water year round in the Richmond marina. He can't go on our club sails
because he can't get it on a trailer. He says he got a good deal on the boat,
but he has to pay $100.00 in slip fees each month. The last time I saw the
boat, there was about two feet of weeds growing off the bottom. God knows
what the inside looks like! My little Potter is very happy sitting on her
trailer in the warm garage, and it's FREE! Jerry Barrilleaux
