This post reminded me of something I wanted to ask the list. When
I was in Newport recently, I saw something on one of the commercial
fishing boats that struck my fancy. The companionway hatch has wood
sides but apparently a plexiglass top. I was thinking that would be
pretty neat on the P-19 and possibly the P-15. He used clear plexi
but I was thinking of either clear or smoked. My feeling is that
this would allow more light into the boat, but it also provides a
place to trap water from rain.
Anyone have any ideas or comments on this?
