Equally successful, and probably easier, is to drill out the rivets and
replace them ... after adding a small washer and coating each generously
with silicone caulk. [Just inserting the body of the rivet, with washer and
already in the gun, into the mouth of the caulk tube or cartridge is
sufficient.] Mine are still not leaking almost a decade after applying this
fix.
