Ahhh... you bring back memories ! I did my EE postgrad studies at the U.
S. Navy Postgrad School there in Monterey and had many excellent dinners
out on the wharf. Much fun to have dinner and look out the window to
watch the sea otters floating on their backs cracking mussles [ I guess
that's what they were munching on ]. Also loved to listen to live
Dixieland music at a place on Cannery Row where it was sort of like a
speak-easy and you got into the place via a front door which was disguised
as a phone booth ! ;-D>
